Bangkok Garden is an upscale Thai restaurant on Elm St in downtown Toronto. They’re one of the first to bring authentic Thai food and culture to the city, using original recipes from when they opened. Bangkok Garden has a variety of dishes for every taste, they make everything from scratch in-house from their homemade peanut sauce to curries. In addition to à la carte, they also do weekday lunch buffets.

The interior is extravagant with a lot of wood accents. It’s got an upscale but approachable feel. The decorations are absolutely stunning from the bird cage-like chandeliers to the various Thai trinkets sprinkled throughout the space. The space is also massive with two floors of dining space.
Despite the upscale vibe, Bangkok Garden is still more affordable than some of the other Thai restaurants in Toronto, but it’s not a cheap restaurant. It’s family-friendly and perfect for date night!

Their menu is extensive and has all the Thai favourites. For appetizers, there are spring rolls, tom yum soup, mango salad, glass noodle salad, Thai wings to name a few. Their entrees are equally as impressive with curry options galore along with various noodle dishes.
If you want to try something new, the Bangkok Noodle is a great choice! It’s a mix of fresh Thai rice noodles with New Zealand green mussels, shrimp, scallops and crispy vegetables. The flavours are robust and rich but it’s not too greasy or salty. The seafood is fresh, with no fishy taste!

Yelp/Yiming L.
The Khao Soi is another delicious dish. The yellow curry noodles come in a coconut broth with chai tea, topped with crispy egg noodles and pickled vegetables. It’s spicy but not overwhelming, and it has a good kick!

End your meal with their white chocolate rice pudding it’s a unique take on the traditional rice pudding. The white chocolate gives it a creamy texture that’s not too heavy and the subtle taste of coffee cuts through the richness of the dessert. It’s not overly sweet either.
Bangkok Garden is not just a restaurant but an experience. The food is authentic and tastes as such, the service is excellent and welcoming, and the space is beautiful with stunning decorations. It’s a little pricier for what you’re getting but it’s worth every cent. The atmosphere is perfect for big groups or even date night!
