The restaurant’s decor is inspired by traditional Asian design. Their dining room features wooden tables with cushioned chairs all bathed in warm light. The uniformed grey wall with various traditional Thai artwork gives the space an air of sophistication. Bangkok Spoon Deluxe is perfect for everything from a family dinner to an evening out with friends.

Their menu features an extensive selection of authentic Thai dishes that they pride themselves on serving. The dishes range from soups to appetizers, seafood entrees and house specialty. The dinner menu is divided into the following categories: Soups (Tom Yum); Salads; Rice & Noodles; Vegetables; Chicken Entrees; Beef Entrees; Seafood Entrees; Chef Specialties; and Lunch Specials (All served with Thai Salad, Spring Roll And Jasmine Rice).
The Yum Talay is a great appetizer to start with; it features mixed seafood served with Thai dressing with mint, red onion and lemon juice. Tiger shrimp, calamari, crab claw and scallops are accompanied by the right amount of seasoning that elevates this dish to an exotic treat.

To follow, a great entree is their Chiang Mai Noodles. This is a hearty curry-noodle dish that comes with crunchy egg noodles, shallots and chilli all fried to crisp and then served with lime wedges and pickled mustard greens on the side. The dish has a great balance of seasoning, spiciness and lime. It is rich in flavour but they are not so heavy-handed with coconut milk that it overwhelms your palate.

A great lunch special dish is the Green Curry Shrimp. It’s a moderately spicy dish made with green curry paste, bell peppers and Thai basil. The shrimp is seasoned nicely and they’re not overcooked like most places serve them. The lunch special dishes are all priced at $14 and include Thai Salad, Spring Roll And Jasmine Rice.

Finally, end your meal with the mango sticky rice. The mangoes are ripe and very sweet with a good texture to them. The rice has a nice, lightly sweetened flavour to it. It is definitely a must-try.
Bangkok Spoon has a truly authentic and delicious menu that’s worth checking out. The service is attentive and the ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and relaxing. Overall, this is a great spot if you are in the mood for some hearty Thai food.
