De Meersman is known for its handmade Belgian chocolate; this store opened in 1989 and gained fame for its fine selections. The chocolate here is smooth, refined and sweet enough not to overpower the treat.

The owner here is serious about having out a variety of candy for customers to try out. For a great deal try their bulk candy selections.

Paola has a variety of well known chocolates from our favourite brands such as Mars, Smarties, Cadbury, etc. They also have a decent selection of chocolate bars from several countries and a small section at the back for UK treats such as maltesers, galaxy and double decker.

The flavours they offer are interesting with mulled wine (dark chocolate infused with wine and spice), honey and jasmine ( infused with a local producer honey and jasmine flower) along with lemon cheesecake pie and many more!

The signature chocolate bar is made with semi-milk chocolate 54% cacao, filled to the rim of classic and creamy Brigadeiro inside. Each one has been carefully hand-painted by their team using colourful cocoa butter for that extra sweet crunchy texture you are sure to love.

The chocolate they serve is no joke, it’s organic and freshly made where the founders will travel and hike up the hillsides to the cacao tree to harvest and ferment what’s to become, chocolate! They work with farmers directly and from scratch, roast their cacao beans to create their own single origin of chocolate bars.

They also incorporate these into their daily baked pastries, hot chocolate and mocha.

In their peaceful little naturistic zen shop, you’ll be gifted with an amazing aroma of fresh chocolate being made on site. You’ll be able to see how they expertly craft the delicious goods. 

They also have a huge range of chocolate bars from different countries and beans displayed on the shelves.
