1. One Restaurant

ONE Restaurant offers a contemporary dining experience in Yorkville, located at the chic Hazelton Hotel. The sumptuous bar with spacious tree-lined patio and lavish room make for an immersive day or night out on the scene!

The food at this restaurant is out of this world. The lobster spoons are to die for and are such a great-sized appetizer, while the main courses like the venison topped with seared foie-something are amazing.

Their wine program also has some cracking wines: New Zealand Pinot paired beautifully against California Cabernet Sauvignon which finished things off nicely after an excellent meal.

“This is by far one of the best brunch locations I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing (I am morbidly obese so I know what I’m talking about). The patio was beautiful. The service was great. The food? THE FOOD!! First off: we couldn’t choose one item so we ordered 4 to share. The orange juice was the juiciest orange I’ve ever tasted. It puts Tropicana to shame. I have tried shakshuka in many restaurants and I have to say this was the top 3. The avocado toast was amazing and filling. The bagel & lox was to die for. Tasted just like in NYC. We had the blueberry pancakes after dessert and I legit almost died from my blood glucose spiking. And if I did die, I would have died happy. Thank you ONE restaurant. I’ll definitely be back. 5/5”
“Wow! This entire meal was incredible. The lobster spoons are to die for and such a great sized appetizer for sharing. We then moved to the venison topped with seared foie — what a perfect pairing! Their wine program is also excellent as we started with a New Zealand Pinot and ended with a Californian Cab.”

The flow of food and combination of ingredients for each dish was mind blowing. Loved the chef’s explanation for each course. Cocktail pairing really boosted the flavour of each course. “Went out with my wife for an “After Valentines Day '' dinner at Sofia’s Yorkville to avoid crowds. I reserved on “Open Table” back in January anticipating challenges with availability. Restaurant was beautiful, Server was knowledgable and the food portion and taste was great. Only thing was next time I will call ahead to ensure we are seated in the dining room instead of the bar area even after reserving with ample time. It was gorgeous but the circular table was very small, slightly lower than typical dining tables and full of items when we sat down (2 wine glasses, 2 water glasses, a bread plate with napkin and utensils and a small 6 inch tall lamp). As soon as the hostess placed the menu in front of us, which was long, on the table, a glass was knocked over and broke when the menu was opened. The plus side was that 2-3 staff immediately cleaned it all up and replaced everything. The server said it happens far too often - not sure if he’s saving me from embarrassment or genuinely annoyed that management hasn’t changed their setup. Overall, a great upscale restaurant. We will go back.”
“Definitely a vibe. Especially when you dine after 8. It has a young vibe. The place was packed. The service was amazing. Food is definitely amazing. I will recommend a date night with your special someone and also a girls night out restaurant. But definitely go after 8pm on the weekends because it has a vibe and they have a huge bar.”

“My family and I had a wonderful time enjoying their Afternoon Tea. Overall we enjoyed the selection of savoury and sweet foods that were offered, with only minor things of note (e.g. one of the desserts being too sweet for our liking). The tea I chose - Organic Kyoto Cherry Rose - was very nice!”
“Great Saturday Date Night with my lady. Service is on point at all times. Staff goes above and beyond to make sure your experience is not ordinary. “We came here for our anniversary lunch. The staff was very friendly and professional. Strongly recommend the hot stone beef, it was tender and juicy! We ordered the brussels just to have some veggies, and it turned out extremely flavorful! They also gave us a free dessert for the anniversary, the chocolate mousse cake was super smooth.”

“Amazing place! I came here for my birthday and I LOVED it. Food was amazing and I highly recommend the lasagna. I’ve been to other locations but this one is by far my favourite. The dumplings were phenomenal. All the staff are so kind and welcoming. The restaurant decor is beautiful and the seating is very comfortable. Will definitely be going back.”
“Excellent atmosphere, food, and service! The sauce used for the lasagna was delicious and I would highly recommend the Bang Bang Broccoli appetizer. There wasn't a physical dessert menu, but our server listed off three options to choose from (cheesecake, Brownie with ice cream, and maple parfait). Our server was especially great, recommending menu items and making sure our water glasses were never empty. All in all, I would highly recommend it!”

Would love to try the kale salad next time since every table is ordering one. Love the tiramisu! It’s not too sweet, and it’s perfect for the dessert after. Great place to go.”

“Amazing experience at Buca for our very first visit! Everything we ordered was absolutely fantastic and exceeded our expectations (focaccia bread, olives, short rib pizza, wagyu steak). The highlight was the wagyu steak that just melted when we took a bite, and it blew us away. It was probably one of the best steaks I’ve ever had in my life! Restaurant inside has a really nice ambiance and it wasn’t too loud inside. Definitely will be going back!”
“I recently visited Buca Osteria for the 1st time and from the moment we arrived Manolo greeted us with open arms and I can honestly say our experience was 10/10 from start to finish !! She shared great recommendations from the menu and really went the extra mile. The croquettes, octopus, and sangria were BOMB. Can't wait to go back :)”
“Came here for weekend brunch, would love to try their dinner next time. Slight attitude from service which we were put off by at the very end. - baklava French toast (for the sweet tooth mood; not too sweet! which I appreciate) - reyna’s croque madame - salmon board (get this or the croque madame but not both, either way we’re both delicious. The fried capers were an excellent touch) - short rib grilled cheese (my personal fave for trying something different) - lamb shank Benny (delicious however not enough to be filling) - almond milk available for those who wish to order a latte”

“Love the new location. We often went to Blu when it was right in Yorkville. The new location is amazing, John Campbell who plays the piano on Sunday nights is a very talented musician with a wonderful personality. The staff here is all so very attentive from the manager to the server ( Brian) and right down to the young man that cleared the tables ( Jamal I believe was his name) the boss has assembled a great team . I will say that I did send my steak back because it had more cartilage than edible meat. The server quickly switched it out for a delicious lamb shank that I really enjoyed. The issue was dealt with perfectly and that’s all you can ask for. We will be back often.”
“I’ve been to Blu on two separate occasions and both were spectacular! The food is always delicious and if it’s not cooked to perfection, the team is always extremely receptive and do what they can to make things right. Both times, our servers were extremely personable and attentive. It’s become a go-to place amongst my friends and I highly recommend going if you’ve never been! Note, the restaurant is often booked full so make sure you plan ahead and make reservations.”

“Another incredible meal! I cannot praise this restaurant enough. It's always consistent, the service impeccable and the food is just so, so amazing. We're always bringing new people with us to share the experience and this time, we tried something new. I'm afraid I didn't get any pics cause I was too hungry.”
“The energy in Joso’s has always been nothing but lively! Personally, this is a restaurant I prefer eating in later in the evening. Something about the evening aura wins. Also, the set-up and decor is very original which is an experience on its own. In regards to the food, I’ve yet to taste a meal I wasn’t overly satisfied with. I always order the breaded calamari and every single time it tastes just as good as the last. Service has been friendly and reasonable minus one specific visit. She seemed disinterested in either our table or her job until she received her large unjustified tip at the end of the dinner. But once again, that seemed to have been a rarity. I recommend here !”

“Amazing location and super awesome service! The manager, Ricky, was phenomenal. He gave us a table to enjoy a drink while the kitchen was catching up with their full house. Vinay provided a great service too!”
“Service was amazing, called in to let them know we were going to be late and they had accommodated with a new time. Servers were also attentive to orders. Ordered the Wellington County Beef Tenderloin (6oz) and Canadian Atlantic Salmon which both were cooked to perfection! Steak was medium rare as requested and salmon tasted just as lovely. Dessert - flourless cake wasn’t the best but it tasted better with the side of ice cream that comes with it, a little too sweet for our liking, although would highly recommend this restaurant for any type of setting to dine in!”

“I had a great time with my partner at Yamato. We went for the teppanyaki. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious! I really love that they have a teppanyaki chef cooking the meal right in front of you. Our chef was super funny, too. We got the beef, chicken and shrimp combo. The meat are fresh, sauce was on a little saltier side but it is acceptable. You have to order the fried rice, it's my favourite dish of the night, I can't get enough of it! Their sushi are fresh, too. You can also try out their beef and chicken skewers. We ordered the egg custard for dessert, it was delicious. Overall I like the food and vibe, will be coming back again!”

“A fantastic restaurant as far as expensive restaurants go. Food is amazing, albeit smaller in size sharing portions. Selection is varied and well paired. Staff are highly knowledgeable about every item on the menu including the wine list. Setting is really cozy. It can be difficult to find for first timers because it’s down the laneway.”
“Food and service are great, as expected of an Alo restaurant. I had my doubts about the wedge salad, but it lives up to the hype - that was actually really good. The steak was perfectly cooked, and of course you gotta get the bread. My only complaint is the portion of the tuna tartare. It was one of the specials of the night - for $24, I thought there would be more fish. Still tasty though.”
