Address: 443 Arlington Ave, York, ON M6C 3A2
Cedarvale Park is one of Toronto’s largest parks, and is well-known for being an excellent snow sledding spot in the winter. This spot features a sports field, a dog park, tennis courts, and lovely hills where you can sit and relax. If you’re looking for a park in Toronto with an open green space for a wonderful get-away, put Cedarvale on your list.
Things To Do

Cedarvale is the perfect spot to hang out with your families, with steep hills providing comfortable sitting areas and special places where you can watch the sunsets. Despite the fact that the park’s hills make it one of the best sledding locations in Toronto, the park is incredibly stunning in the summer. The park features splash pads, a playground for children, a cricket field with well-kept grasses, and four hard-ground tennis courts that have been popular tennis sites for years.
Other activities available at the park include outdoor skating, biking, and visiting the ravine, which has beautiful pathways that connect to the Beltline Trail, which is perfect for walking and jogging. During the winter, the ravine is impossible to ignore; it looks like a winter wonderland. However, the roads here are narrow, so keep an eye out for cyclists while hiking on the trails. Cedarvale also includes a wonderful dog park for your dogs to have fun.
Biodiversity

There is a lot of wildlife in the area, especially if you go trekking in the ravine. Coyotes are one of the most common animals in the park. The park is home to other wildlife such as squirrels and birds. Cedarvale park also has a communal garden where locals can grow organic vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, carrots, kale, and many others. In the garden, you can see butterflies, black swallowtail caterpillars, snakes, and other wildlife. If you enjoy eating fresh veggies from your garden, you should consider joining the community. The park also includes a number of volunteer organizations committed to the upkeep and improvement of Cedarvale Park and Ravine.
Parking

Several paid parking lots are available in the park, including Green P lot 660, 997 Eglinton Ave W Parking (you may need to walk a little to get to the park), and parking lots at the Phil White Arena, as well as street parking.
