Despite the fact that Toronto has a long cold winter, we know how to make the most of our summer. There are several beaches and lakeside spots in Toronto popular on summer days, and  Cherry Beach is no exception. No, the beach does not have cherry trees, but it was renamed after its local common name. It was originally known as Clarke Beach Park. The beach is located on the port lands, and you can see Polson Pier in the distance and Tommy Thompson-Park, which is only a few feet away. The beach is safe and draws a large number of people from all around the city. Check out Cherry Beach if you’re looking for a beach that’s great for water activities and relaxing in the summer heat.

Things To Do

There are several activities available at Cherry Beach that are not accessible anyplace else in Toronto. Windsurfing, kiteboarding, paddleboarding, and kayaking are among the most popular beach activities, and there is conveniently a nearby Toronto SUP kayak rental, where you can get your sporting equipment and enjoy the tides. This lakeside park is particularly popular for bringing your dogs for a beach day since it has a dog off-leash area where your pets can splash and play in the lake.
