The restaurant itself is decorated with various Thai paintings and trinkets; it has laid-back, cozy vibes as you’d expect from a Thai restaurant. It’s perfect for those intimate dates or even just to dine out with friends. With extremely friendly staff and delicious food, it’s no wonder why Little Bangkok is a top pick for Thai food in Markham.
Little Bangkok is a cozy little place with an extensive menu of authentic Thai dishes such as Pad Thai, Tom Yum Goong, Chicken Cashew Nuts, Curries and Mango Salad. The prices are quite reasonable here with very few dishes going above the $15 mark.

A favourite is the Red Curry with your choice of protein (veggies, beef, chicken, and more). It is prepared with coconut milk, red curry paste, toasted coconut, Thai basil, bamboo shoots and potatoes. The red curry paste has a sweet, spicy taste which balances well with the coconut milk. Bamboo shoots are cut into small pieces that are mixed into the dish which creates an interesting texture. You can also order it dry to omit the soup base for those of you who want to keep the meal healthier.

If spicy dishes aren’t your thing they also offer some milder options like their popular Coconut Soup, which is another go-to favourite offered at Little Bangkok. This dish can come condensed or clear and topped with your choice of chicken, beef, shrimp or tofu. There’s a hint of sweetness to this dish which makes it stand out from other types. It has a very light and refreshing taste that works well for those who feel uncomfortably greasy after eating other Thai dishes.

The Thai iced tea is pretty delicious as well! This sweet concoction is a perfect treat on a hot summer day since the weather in Markham can get quite warm. Besides serving up some great food, Little Bangkok also has an extensive wine list that’s sure to satisfy anyone’s tastes. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful too so don’t hesitate to ask for any recommendations or help you might need!

For dessert, try the Mango Stick Rice. It consists of a mixture of rice and coconut milk, which is seasoned with palm sugar and spiced with cardamom. Mango slices are then added to the dish, along with sesame seeds for extra crunch. This sweet and tangy dessert packs one heck of a flavourful punch!
So if you’re looking for a new Thai hotspot, stop by Little Bangkok and enjoy the delicious food and company. We guarantee you’ll be back soon!
