This park has a 6.1 km trail with a scenic view of the lake. This trail is good for people of all skill levels and can be used all year round. The path goes in a loop with both paved and gravel trails that are great for trekking. Some of the paths are interconnected and have a bit of an incline. Moore Park Ravine is a great place to visit for hiking, running, cycling and more. The trail takes you through a forest and gives you plenty of options to take little detours on the hike.

This place is found in downtown Toronto at 205 Moore Moore Avenue. If you choose to drive, taking the Don Valley Parkway S will lead you to Moore Ave. The ON 401 can also be a great route to take to get here. Some people prefer the reliability of the TTC and luckily there are many buses that’ll take you to this trail. You can take the 88A or the 88B to Brendan Rd, which is just 2 min from the park. Taking the 74A to Moore Ave is also an option as it is 4 min from the park.

Moore Park Ravine is a part of the Beltline Trail. It is shared with cyclists and dog walkers alike. This trail starts in Moore Avenue and ends at the Don River Valley. This path will lead you to the Governor’s Bridge, a monument that was built in 1923 and was repaired in the early 2000s. This bridge has become one with nature as numerous trees grow around the architecture. You’ll also find some beautiful graffiti drawings on the building as well.

This park can get very crowded especially on the weekends, so if you’d like to have some alone time we suggest visiting during the early morning and evenings, before 3:00pm on the weekdays. While this trail looks beautiful during all seasons, the fall and winter times are the prettiest as the leaves change colour in one and the snow looks pristine in the other.

This place is quite peaceful and you’re bound to spot a lot of gorgeous birds in the area including woodpeckers. The ponds in the area also draw in ducks and other creatures as well. It has 61 m of elevation and most people end up spending the entire day here to enjoy the views. Even while you’re in the heart of the city, it feels like you’re away from it all.
