Mystic Muffins is a mom-and-pop eatery that serves freshly baked goods, as well as Lebanese-inspired lunches. They’re famous for their apple cakes, which have been perfected over the years since they began the business. This casual food joint is where you can grab great food without the fluff.

There is just something so endearing about the storefront of Mystic Muffins. Is almost as if the store has been frozen in time, as it has kept up the same appearance for over a decade since they first opened. The inside is no different. They still have the same checkered flooring, as well as the giant blackboard which has their entire menu on it. The only difference in the store is probably the wall of polaroid photos which has now almost covered the entire face of the wall.

The menu has also been barely touched as they still serve the same delicious foods which many Torontonians have grown to love. Here you can get some of the best falafels in the city, as they are always prepared fresh and crisp.

And of course, you can’t forget about their famous apple cakes which can’t be compared to anything else. Perfectly crisp on the outside, nice and soft on the inside, and stuffed with a generous amount of apple slices. Once you have a taste, it’ll be hard not to go back for more.
