Prairie Drive Park is a hidden treasure in Scarborough, close to Victoria Park Station. The park is similar to other Toronto parks in terms of neatly kept and well-maintained facilities, with the exception that the park is known for hosting several festivals and events such as dance battles and live DJs. The park also has a recreational sports area and green space for a peaceful and restful day that is suitable for your children.

Things To Do

The park includes three concrete tennis courts that are ideal for playing throughout the day or at night. If you love skating, you can use the tennis court when no one else is around. You can also have a great picnic or barbeque at the park and let your children play at the playground, which includes a large splash pad that is perfect for summer. Other activities you can enjoy include hiking and biking, especially on the nearby Gus Harris Trail.
The park provides a relaxing ambiance with many trees providing shaded spaces that you shouldn’t miss out on, especially during the fall season. The park has a community vegetable garden as well as clean restrooms. There is also a bus stop near the park’s tennis courts. Don’t forget to look for some local artworks throughout the park.

Parking

The park has a parking lot directly beside the tennis court. There is an additional street and paid parking nearby.
If you live in Scarborough and are searching for a park that is not too large and occasionally features events, Prairie Drive is the park for you. The park is not only a fantastic place to relax, but it is also a terrific place to stay active and improve your tennis skills, whether you are a beginner or an advanced player.
