Tasty Pot opened in 2014 and serves 12 different flavours of Taiwanese hot pots. This place isn’t just known for its delicious hot pot but for its bubble tea options as well. Tasty Pot also has a lot of extra add ons such as pork, shrimp, fish balls and more. If you don’t want to splurge on AYCE, then this is a great alternative.

This is a very welcoming shop meant to be visited in a group to truly enjoy the bustling atmosphere of this place. The natural sunlight that seeps through the windows helps brighten up the shop. The red chairs are a colourful decor choice that complements the hardwood floors and darker tables. You’ll find one part of the wall painted with a black and white painting of the city which is mesmerizing to look at.
A favourite dish here is the Kimchi Dumpling Pot. This hot pot comes with Taiwanese cabbage, pork slices, kimchi, dumplings, sausages, shrimp, enoki mushrooms and more. When this dish is served, you’re hit with the aromas almost immediately. The seafood and meat help deepen the flavour profile of the broth, while the soft tofu soaks it all up. This dish is salty and savoury with a hint of spice.
We also recommend trying the Beef Hot Soup. This dish is filled with beef slices, tofu, fish cake, clams and more. You’ll get a hint of sweetness from the corn and tomatoes. Plus the thin vermicelli pasta in the dish is tender and fills you right up. The cilantro helps give a bit of zest to the dish while the scallions give the broth a sharper taste. What really brings the dish together is the mild-tasting kamaboko.

End your meal with one of the many bubble teas offered at this shop. They have everything from milk teas to regular teas. We recommend trying the sweet milk tea with boba or pudding. The pudding is sweet and has a subtle hint of vanilla, while the boba is chewy and works well with the drink. If you’d like to try both, the Half & Half Milk Tea is a good option for you. You can also add toppings such as lychee or grass jelly for more flavour.
Tasty Pot is a good place to visit if you’d like a hot pot with unique combinations and tastes. Instead of fumbling your way through an all-you-can-eat menu, you get exactly what you’d expect at a great price.
