Thai Lime is a small family Thai restaurant in downtown Toronto. Don’t judge the store by its humble storefront, as this place delivers when it comes to authentic Thai cuisine. This is definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in Toronto that stands out with its great food and reasonable prices. Come and savour the authentic taste of Thai food at Thai Lime.

Although the restaurant is limited with space, everything is clearly laid out and elegant, with dim lighting that sets the mood for a cozy dinner. Wooden furniture and Thai-styled décor give it a classic and traditionally elegant look. There’s even a bar with bar seating available as well.

The menu boasts a wide range of dishes from appetizers, soups, salads to noodles, rice, and an assortment of meat dishes (beef, lamb, chicken, and seafood) that are sure to please everyone’s taste.
A good appetizer to start off with is the Shrimp Skewers w/ Peanut Sauce and Veggies. They’re served with a sweet and spicy peanut sauce that enhances the shrimp’s naturally delicious taste.

Another great dish is the Thai Coconut Vegetable Soup, which is filled with plenty of vegetables, shrimps, and scallops in a rich coconut broth. This soup is perfect after a long day at work because it’s not too heavy but still has all the carbohydrates and protein needed to recharge your energy.

Soupy dishes are great for cooler months while some good old fashion stir-fried dishes work best in the summertime. The Pad See-Ew is a great dish to try on a hot summer day. It’s an amazing stir-fried dish made of flat, broad rice noodles and veggies such as broccoli and zucchini in soy sauce. The tasty pad see-ew is also flavoured with sweet dark soy sauce, salt, peppercorns and garlic which gives it a very nice kick!

Another one of their specialties is the Malay Curry. It comes in different flavours and options such as chicken, beef or lamb. The curry is a yellow curry with coconut cream and aromatic spices such as turmeric, cardamom and cumin. The curry sauce is very flavourful and compliments the rice very well.
To wrap things up, this place is a must-try for Thai food lovers! The food here is very authentic and the taste reminds you of what you would get at your typical, hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant in Thailand. It’s definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in Toronto with great service and even better food.
