Thai Room is a franchise with 6 locations throughout the GTA (Scarborough, downtown Toronto, York Mills, and North York). This restaurant brings classic Thai and Malaysian cuisine in a modern dining setting. If you’re looking for an authentic experience without travelling to Thailand this is the place to do it. They have everything from curries to stir-fries – plus they also offer takeout if you want to enjoy it at home.

Thai Room has a modern interior design with a few Thai trinkets sprinkled in. The restaurant has an industrial vibe to it with its rustic brick walls and pipes on the ceiling. The restaurant is spacious with both booths and family-style seating available. It’s also kid-friendly so you can bring your whole family.
The restaurant has an extensive menu offering classic favourites such as pineapple fried rice and stir-fried noodles, alongside specialties from Malaysia like Malay Curry.

A favourite is their “Famous Pad Thai” which is made with rice noodles, eggs, crushed peanuts, bean sprouts, tamarind sauce and your choice of meat (chicken, beef, shrimp, or veggies. The Pad Thai is sweet and sour with a bit of a kick. The portions are big and the price is very affordable at $13.
They also have other Pad Thai options to choose from such as Krung Thep Pad Thai, and Curry Pad Thai which are pretty good as well.

Their curries are another one of their popular dishes and it comes with steamed rice. You can choose either beef, chicken, lamb, or veggies with tofu as the protein you want in your curry. The curries here are made with fresh market vegetables in their signature coconut curry sauce. It’s nice and fragrant with just the right amount of spices without it being too overwhelming.

End your meal with one of their delicious desserts. They have several dessert options to choose from such as Coconut Sticky Rice with Mango, White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Cheesecake, and Deep Fried Bananas. Their desserts are a great way to cool off, especially after a spicy Thai meal.

The drinks menu is pretty extensive with a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. They have a full bar with beers on tap, cocktails, wine, spirits, and soft drinks.
Thai Room does not disappoint when it comes to delicious Thai food in Toronto. We like the fact that this restaurant brings something different to the franchise scene. The casual dining experience paired with great food makes for an enjoyable meal.
