Tori’s Bakeshop is a delightful little bakery and cafe located on Queen St E. and Balsam Ave. They are famously known as one of the first plant-based cafes to open in Toronto. Here you find baked goods that come fresh from the oven every morning, including cinnamon buns, butter tarts, donuts, cookies, and the list goes on.

Elegant is the word I would use to describe Tori’s interior. You can tell the designer paid close attention to detail with every little thing here from the dangling lights, choice of patterned wallpaper, the bookshelf-like arrangement for the displays, as well as furnishing. Everything just seems to complement one another perfectly.

For their drink menu, you will find pretty much what you’d expect from a coffee shop, with your espresso-based drinks, hot chocolate, tea, and organic cold-pressed juices.

The star of the shows is definitely their vegan-baked goodies, which are meticulously displayed on the countertop. One of their fan-favourites is their vegan cinnamon rolls. These come in huge sizes with a soft and gooey texture, topped with cream cheese frosting. You can order them freshly baked, or as raw dough to bake at home. This stretchy, doughy goodness will even give Cinnabons a run for their money.
This is the place to be if you are craving sweets, and don’t want to feel guilty afterwards.
