Toronto Music Garden is one of the most stunning gardens in downtown Toronto. The garden was inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach’s (German composer) first suite for solo cello in 1720. The garden is divided into six sections that correlate to the music, beginning with the prelude (riverscape), Allemande (forest with wandering pathways), courante (swirling path with flowery garden), sarabande (arc-shaped conifer grove), meguett (flower garden), and finally gigue ( grassy stairs where a lot of audiences use it for sitting when shows are held).
The garden is not only attractive and artistically noteworthy but it is also located on the Harbourfront, providing a magnificent view of Lake Ontario and city skylines. During the summer, the garden is a popular destination for various activities such as live music and concerts, weddings as well as simply strolling around and admiring the landscape. The park is conveniently located along Queens Quay, which is ideal if you are taking public transportation, and there is a streetcar stop directly on the park. There is also a nearby Tiki water taxi service, as well as the well-known Martin Goodman Trail for biking and trekking.
Apart from the gorgeous garden, you can also enjoy free live music, comedy acts, and performers from various cultures, including Aiyun Huang (singer), Maria Bonita and The Band (band singing classics and forró music), Ariel Balevi and Sina Bathaie (storytellers), and many more brilliant artists who had previously performed at the garden.
The CN Tower, which is also a must-see at night, is one of the greatest sights from Toronto Music Garden. The garden features benches, well-kept green areas, grassy stairs with comfy resting spaces, historical trees, and many more, providing excellent photo opportunities. If you appreciate being in nature, you will enjoy every inch of the garden.
The park is located between the Waterfront and the Martine Goodman trails and is excellent for strolling and biking since there is a bike-sharing station near the Waterfront trail.

Biodiversity

The garden is filled with various types of flowers and trees that provide colourful and enchanting sights to see. Red maple, wild blue phlox, cherry blossom, basket-of-gold, tulip and many more plants can be found in the garden.
Since the garden is located on the harbour front, you can see birds such as Mute swans and American robins, as well as insects like dragonflies and monarch butterflies.

Parking

There is no parking inside the park; however, there are paid public parking places nearby, such as Green P, at the northeast corner of Bathurst and Queens Quay, as well as 22 Ft York Blvd, which you have to walk a little to get to the garden.
Toronto Garden, with its lovely flowers and panoramas, is one of Toronto’s most scenic places. The garden not only features gorgeous flowers and plants, but it is also a centre for entertainment, with live music, stand-up comedy, and many other creative performances. If you’re searching for a nice vibrant environment in the heart of the city, don’t miss out on this downtown gem.
